The DMC Guild was founded as the Hutzel Hospital Men's Guild in 1983. In 1998 the Guild was renamed DMC Guild to reflect its expanded mission. The Guild is organized exclusively for charitable purposes to promote and contribute to the health and well being of the community in southeastern Michigan through education, research and community benefit. Since the beginning of the organization, its been our belief that important causes can be supported while sharing the fundraising experience and having fun.

The DMC Guild has proudly supported enhancements to Brush Mall, purchase of defibrillators, renovations of the Charlotte Failing Board room, Harper Hospital Cath Lab, OB/GYN Endowments, WSU Cardiothoracic Research, WSU Neonatology Research, Emergency Research, Community Education event with the American Heart Association and significant donations to many other organizations to improve the health and wellness of Southeastern Michigan.

In the past, the DMC Guild provided funds for research, scholarships, equipment, community outreach programs and renovation to programs and facilities within the Detroit Medical Center and its physicians. Current programs include funding for community benefit, research and educational activities for the community. Contributions to the DMC Guild are fully tax deductible.
